Job Description
PURPOSE OF JOB:
To conduct industrial plant and facilities maintenance and fabricate items as needed as well as assist in other duties assigned by the supervisor.
NEEDED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Requires all motor skills with ability to do heavy work.
Must be able to weld using Arc, MIG, and TIG processes
Must be familiar with using torches, both Oxy/Acetylene and Plasma
Must have basic math skills.
Must be able to read a micrometer to .001 and a tape measure to 1/32.
Must be willing to take direction from more senior mechanics as well as management.
Needs to have an above-average mechanical aptitude.
Be able to perform general facilities maintenance such as plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
Must be able to work flexible schedules and overtime is frequently required.
Must be willing and able to learn new maintenance skills.
Must have adequate quality tools to complete the job.
Must have had no written warnings in the last 6 months.
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must be able to work at height from ladders and mobile lift station such as scissor lifts and articulating boom lifts
Prefer electrical experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings is preferred
Yarn Mill equipment experience is preferred.
