We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled ATC Simulation Technician to join our client’s team. The primary function of this role is to maintain and troubleshoot both the hardware and software components of our Air Traffic Control Simulation systems, ensuring optimal performance for training purposes. This role is integral to the development and operation of simulation scenarios, directly contributing to the training and proficiency of air traffic controllers.


Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Regularly troubleshoot, maintain, and repair ATC Simulation hardware components such as displays, computer equipment, and peripherals. Diagnose software problems, apply necessary patches, and update software as needed.

• System Management: Perform start-up, shut-down, and system back-up procedures. Load operating systems and applications as required.

• Training: Train personnel on ATC Simulation maintenance and operation. Operate ATC Simulation for training purposes and act as a Pseudo Pilot for simulation training as needed.

• Documentation and Reporting: Complete detailed documentation on simulator maintenance issues, performance, and utilization. Develop and manage site simulation reports to reflect frequency and type of training conducted.

• Scenario Development: Create and maintain training scenarios with minimal assistance, incorporating training objectives effectively. Train assigned personnel in scenario creation and maintenance.


Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years of total work experience with significant knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems, ideally in ATC Simulation Systems (Tower and Radar).

• At least four years of FAA or US Military operational ATC experience, or a combination thereof, or a degree in Air Traffic Control or Air Traffic Management from an approved AT-CTI college or university (list available at [FAA website]).

• Certifications as required for Remote Pilot Operations.


Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

• Able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of working as part of a team and conducting effective training sessions.

• Detailed oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.


Physical Requirements:

• Must be capable of using simple hand tools.

• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. without restriction is required.

• Repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movement.
