Title: Sterile Processing Technologist

Location: Lamar,CO

Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Shift: Day

Minimum Experience: 3 years

Sterile Processing Technologist Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, clean, disinfect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Follow established protocols and standards for decontamination and sterilization processes.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of sterile instruments and supplies.
• Monitor and document sterilization processes, including time, temperature, and pressure.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the sterile processing area.

Sterile Processing Technologist Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred.
• Previous experience in sterile processing or healthcare environment preferred.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control principles, and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate sterilization equipment and follow manufacturer instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized protocols accurately.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to adhere to strict protocols and regulatory requirements.
