Medical Assistant (Certified)

At Pyramid Healthcare at Mountaineer we will be specializing in Substance Use Disorder treatment. We have been in operations since 1999 and currently operate over 80 programs in 8 different states, offering a full continuum of high-quality behavioral health care for individuals suffering from substance use disorders, mental health concerns, and other behavioral health issues. Hourly Rate: $16-18.50/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: 7a-3p and 3p-11p

Job Duties:

• Maintains therapeutic relationships with all clients and effectively communicates changes in client status or milieu to appropriate member of the treatment team.
• Obtains vital signs, capillary blood sugars and urine specimens as directed by the
• Conduct all functions of the toxicology screening process including entering data into the lab system, collecting observed urine specimens, preparing specimens for transport to the lab, printing and reviewing toxicology reports, communicating results to the Nurse, Physician, and clinical staff.
• Observe and document the process of the dispensing of medication by the pharmacy vendor
• Coordination of admission paperwork with the Assessment Supervisor or designated assessment team
• Maintain unit supply inventory
• Collect and log client
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

• Certified Medical Assistant certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
