Premier Placements is currently interviewing for an Environmental Health & Safety Manager direct hire opportunity with an award-winning manufacturing facility at their newest location in Athens, GA The EHS Manager will be responsible for implementing policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Collect, monitor, analyze and report to fulfill both the facility and regulatory bodies requirements.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Salary: $85,000 - $90,000/year

Responsibilities:

  • Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
  • Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the facility.
  • Incident and injury case management.
  • Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
  • Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
  • Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
  • Maintains records of discharge of, or employee exposure to hazardous waste and /or pollutants, as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety and Health or related field required.
  • 5+ years of related experience in a mid to large size manufacturing facility.
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Experience managing a Title V permitted facility.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in technology and equipment used in Environmental inspections.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
