Responsibilities

• Establishes quality standards by studying product and consumer requirements with industry standards, along with regulatory requirements. Maintains product quality by enforcing quality policies and government requirements.
• Assures facility obtains and maintains SQFI Certification. Supports training, record-keeping, and maintenance of the food safety and quality programs.
• Monitor the plant's pre-requisite programs to ensure compliance with standards.
• Directs FSQA Assurance staff and is responsible for their development and performance.
• Provides support, coaching, and training to all employees in food safety, lab, and quality programs.
• Responsible for customer complaints, product release, and internal and external audits associated with the plant.

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities

• 3-5 Years in Quality Management
• Bachelor’s degree in food science or a related field
• Excellent written/oral communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Strong Leadership skills, including well-developed communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge in food safety system recognized by GSFI (SQF, HACCP, BRC, FSSC 22000, etc.)
• Knowledge of regulatory affairs, GMP, material qualifications, validation, and product launches preferred.
• Computer Systems Knowledge: Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power point etc.)
