RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a high-volume Accounts Payable team in all daily functions, ensuring that vendor invoices and credit card charges are coded, processed and paid accurately and timely in accordance with firm guidelines; automate manual processes; train, mentor and evaluate staff.
- During peak times or when short-handed (due to staff vacations or sick time) perform hands-on processing of the above.
- Establish and manage effective vendor relationships.
- Prepare complex vendor and payment reconciliations.
- Assist with the implementation of Chrome River.
- Generate month-end close reports.
- Document/create policies and procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 2 recent years experience managing a high-volume Accounts Payable team.
- 5 recent years experience in a law firm Accounts Payable department.
- Mastery in Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups, filters, etc.).
- Foreign currency experience.
- Self-motivated, proactive, exceptional work ethic, deadline-oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and multi-task while ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and quality.
