Accounting Assistant

Job Summary:
The Accounting Assistant at Hueston Woods Lodge & Conference Center in College Corner, Ohio is responsible for providing support to the accounting and finance team. This is a part-time hourly position and will report directly to the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing invoices, payments, and purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile daily cash receipts to ensure accuracy.
- Help with month-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
- Provide support for accounts payable and receivable.
- Monitor and track expenses to ensure adherence to budget.
- Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in accounting or finance preferred.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
