Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, service, and/or repair of wet-pipe, dry-pipe, and pre-action fire sprinkler systems
  • Test and Inspect Fire Alarms
  • Perform periodic inspections per National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 25 standards, (NFPA) 72 chapter 14 inspections - internal piping inspections, obstruction investigations, flow tests, and hydro tests
  • Provide accurate documentation through the use of Service Trade and state/local documentation as required
  • Record and document all inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations
  • Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow-up, quotes, questions, or concerns

Job requirements

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems
  • NICET Level 2 Fire Sprinkler ITM
  • NICET Level 2 FAS (Fire Alarm Systems)
  • WA Sprinkler Fitters Card
  • WA Backflow License
  • Oregon Backflow License
  • Certificate of Fitness City of Portland in Fire Sprinklers
  • Certificate of Fitness City of Portland in Fire Extinguishers
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of toolboxes, tools, equipment, parts, cabling, and/or wiring
  • Capability to push or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned beyond the scope of this description
  • Clean driving record
  • Successful completion of a clean background check
  • Clear drug screen result
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
