Travel Nurse - RN - EP - Electrophysiology

Responsibilities:

• Using professional nursing theory, cardiovascular technology and the nursing process to implement, coordinate and direct patient care on adult and geriatric patients requiring EP studies, arrhythmia ablations, implantable pacemakers, and defibrillator procedures
• Participating in the development and evaluation of nursing practices provided in the clinical setting and the overall function of the clinical area
• Planning and provisioning of comprehensive nursing care to a specific group of patients and delivery of medical regimens prescribed for those patients by a licensed physician
• Participating in the identification and resolution of nursing practice and unit problems
• This position requires providing service to the following age population(s) adult, older adult, and frail elderly age in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served
• The Electrophysiology Registered Nurse functions independently as a member of the Heart & Vascular patient care team that includes registered nurses, Electrophysiology Cardiovascular Technologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians.
• This individual is responsible for helping to develop and implement systems to assure the smooth and efficient flow of patients for procedures in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab.
• Identifies current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations, critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status, and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.
