Optometric Technician

Pearle Vision of Brandon is a family-owned, upscale, full-service optical establishment that has been serving Brandon and the surrounding communities for over 38 years.  We offer comprehensive eye exams, an amazing selection of frames, and all of the latest lens technology.  Competitive compensation ($16-$23 per hour), schedule flexibility, 401k, PTO, health benefits and no Sundays.  We are seeking an emotionally intelligent candidate who will thrive in our happy and energetic work environment. We have part-time and full-time availability. 

Job requirements

 * Pretest patients  

 * Assist optometrists with daily operations 

 * Answer telephone and direct calls or take messages

 * Check voice mail and email messages

 * Monitor text messages and in-store messaging consistently for messages/tasks

 * Schedule appointments

 * Confirm appointments via text.

 * Enthusiastically greet incoming patients. 

 * Verify vision benefits

 * Work closely with optometrists to keep the patient flow moving efficiently.

 * Scan documents into the point of sale system. 

 * Any other tasks requested by supervisors.
