COMPANION FOR LOVELY ELDERLY LADY

Job Summary:
At Home Services For Independent Living is seeking a compassionate and caring Companion for a lovely elderly lady in Manorville, New York. This is a part-time, hourly healthcare/medical position that requires an individual contributor. The Companion will provide companionship and assistance to the elderly lady in her daily activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and be dedicated to providing excellent care.

Compensation & Benefits:
The Companion for Lovely Elderly Lady position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20 per hour, paid weekly. In addition, the chosen candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life.

Hours are 9 AM - 1 PM Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Responsibilities:
• Provide companionship and engage in conversations with the elderly lady
• Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders
• Accompany the elderly lady to appointments, errands, and on outings
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the elderly lady at all times
• Report any concerns, changes, or incidents to the appropriate parties
• Provide emotional support and communication with family members as needed

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Companion or in a similar role
• Adequate written and verbal communication skills
• Compassionate and patient nature
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Experience working with elderly individuals preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local outing and appointments (Gas will be compensated)
• Must be able to pass a background check
