Job Description
We are seeking an infusion nurse (RN) with TPN experience interested in providing in-home infusions for a local patient.
The patient will need 2-3 days of teach& train services. Afterinitial training, nursing will be needed weekly for labs and dressing changes.
Medication:TPN
- Weekly Labs: CBC w/ diff, CMP, Mg, Phos, CRP, Triglycerides and Pre-Albumin
- IV line maintenance weekly per nursing protocol
Length of treatment:TPNto run 12 hours w/ 1 hr taper up and 2 hr down
Location:Peace Valley, MO 65788
SOC: The patient would like to be seen on the following dates:
- Wednesday 4/24 - Teach and Train Day 1 -FOLLOWING DISCHARGE
- Thursday 4/25 - Teach and Train Day 2
- Friday 4/26 -Lab draw and dressing change- Teach and Train Day 3 (If needed)
Access: PowerPort
Preferences:
- The patient is comfortable with a male or female nurse
- PM visits are preferred for teach and train
- Lab draws will need to be completed during LabCorp drop-off hours
Responsibilities of the PRN Home Infusion Registered Nurse:
- Deliver total parenteral nutrition therapy directly to the patient in the comfort of their home.
- Make a meaningful impact by leveraging your clinical IV expertise and compassionate care to support patients within their environment.
- Provide personalized, one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education aligned with the physician's treatment plan.
- Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with patients, physicians, pharmacists, and other collaborative partners.
Requirements of the PRN Home Infusion Registered Nurse:
- Active and unencumbered nursing license in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification
- TPN experience, preferably in the home
- A valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance are required, with access to a vehicle for business-related travel.
