Position Overview:
Residential Support Staff (RSS) play a vital role in assisting individuals with special needs within both residential and community settings. Responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities aimed at promoting independence, well-being, and community integration for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to individuals with special needs in daily activities, including meal preparation and planning, medication administration, and personal care.
- Foster community engagement and inclusion by accompanying residents on outings and activities tailored to their interests and preferences.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment conducive to the overall well-being of residents.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized support plans based on residents' unique needs and goals.
- Document and report on residents' progress, challenges, and any incidents in accordance with established protocols.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Possession of a valid PA Driver's license.
- Ability to obtain Act 33 and 34 Clearances.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to promoting the independence and quality of life of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
