The Cash Applications Specialist is responsible for ensuring the timely application of customer payments. In addition, the Cash Application Specialist will be required to research and problem-solve payment discrepancies with customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Ensure accurate and timely application of customer payments, in a rapid-growth environment, while maintaining the data integrity for our customers' accounts receivable profiles.

· Coordinate application of cash receipts from all sources including lockbox, wires, and ACH payments in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.

· Provide excellent customer service via conducting, where necessary, detailed transactional research, obtaining resolution, and effectively communicating and closing the loop with team partners or customers promptly.

· Reconciliation of cash application to bank records at month-end.

· Analyze, research, and resolve customer payment discrepancies.

· Work collaboratively with the internal billing team on corrections needed to ensure ongoing Client invoicing issues are resolved.

· Assist with financial audits and check for discrepancies in financial accounts.

· Process and distribute customer statements and invoices/credit memos as required.

· Assist credit and collections department personnel when necessary.

· Prepare weekly and monthly AR agings, credit memos, and write-off reports.

· Additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

• 1-3 years of relevant experience including exposure to accounting or finance, preferably within a high-volume setting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite as well as accounting system software.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to interact professionally with customers.

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and possess strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and effectively meet deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and in a rapid-growth environment.

• Demonstrate initiative to solve issues independently, consistently, and professionally.

• Ability to produce timely, accurate, reliable, and relevant information.
