Packaging Operator

Our client, a leading agricultural chemical company, has immediate openings for Packaging I at the Sparks, GA site.

This is a contract role currently budgeted for 6 months with the possibility of extension or direct hire. Benefits available. The pay Rate is $17.00 hourly.

Currently offering retention bonus – 250.00 after initial 30 days and another 250.00 after an additional 60 days (90 days from start).

Packaging Operator I

Package agricultural chemicals under the direction of an Operator or Supervisor. As a packaging worker, duties will include handling boxes, jugs and other materials associated with packing operations. Compliance with site conduct, safety, security & environmental protection rules. Adhere to quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Various duties in support of formulation & packaging operations, including batching, labeling, pulling, capping, boxing, wiping, stacking, etc.
Maintain good housekeeping standards.
Regular lifting and handling of material.
Adhere to quality and productivity standards.

Must be able to work 101-12 hour rotating shifts and weekends.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be willing to work 10-12 hour rotating hour shifts and weekends.
Successful background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen required.
Must adhere to high safety and quality standards.
Demonstrated ability to understand and carry out instructions and training received.
Demonstrated ability to comprehend basic arithmetic functions.
Manufacturing experienced preferred.
Climbing stairs up and down periodically required to perform the role
Ability to lift at a minimum 50 lbs.
