Accounting Associate

Job Description:

Our company is looking for an Accounting Associate to perform, and ensure the accuracy of, day-to-day transactions. The successful candidate will be detail oriented and able to meet internal deadlines.

Job Requirements:

• Own Accounts Payable process
• Assist with vendor inquiries/reconciliations
• Review vendor invoices for correctness
• Prepare disbursements multiple times a month
• Vendor information management
• Review and process billing statements, invoices, and credit card statements
• Assist with customer deposits
• Investigate and resolve customer queries
• Prepare AR & AP aging summaries on a monthly basis
• Assist with payroll processing
• Maintain orderly financial filing system
• Research, track, and resolve accounting problems
• Prepare various accounting schedules
• Assist in Month End/Year End Close
• Assist with other accounting projects in the office

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate Degree in Business, emphasis in accounting preferrable
• Strong knowledge of MS Office
• Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets
• Excellent communication and administrative skills
• Exceptional organization and time management skills
• Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Effective and efficient written and verbal communication skills
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
• Ability to create and follow clear processes
• Spanish speaking not required, but would be a plus

Compensation:

• $50k-$55K annual salary, with possibility of a 5-10% increase after six months
