Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator oversees all aspects of the supply chain in an extremely fast paced manufacturing environment.  They are responsible for ensuring the flow of raw materials and final products from suppliers to retailers and customers.

This role works closely with the Production Manager, purchasing agent and Controller throughout the workflow to balance the company’s production and sourcing capacities while facilitating timely and efficient distribution.

Job Description:

·         Act as liaison between purchasing, production and warehouse

·         Maintaining appropriate inventory levels based on production needs, reviewing stock inventory for potential shortages and sending material requisitions to purchasing when necessary.

·         Coordinating deliveries with vendors for larger items

·         Create and implement the inventory management standard processes for preventing/minimizing/dispositioning to-be-returned inventory.

·         Verify job materials against provided work order list before sending job to production

·         Maintain minimal distribution hold times by tracking completion needs and real time coordination with accounting and shipping departments.

Required Skills:

·         Detail oriented – Extensive analytical, problem solving, planning and organization skills.  Multiple excel spreadsheets maintained and utilized real time.

·         Mental flexibility - Able to make decisions without complete and perfect information.  Our company has sometimes unpredictable demand or custom-order products and the Logistics Coordinator must be able to pivot accordingly.

·         Self-motivated and able to work without supervision within the context of the position

Education and Experience Requirements:

·         Minimum high school diploma, university or technical training preferred but can be substituted with appropriate proven experience level

·         5+ years related Warehouse Management/Logistics/Counter Sales experience in manufacturing

·         Experience with implementing best practice processes

HOURLY RATE BASED ON EXPERIENCE

·         40 hour work week, minimal overtime required
