Press Operator Job Overview:  The Flexographic Press Operator performs manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance, and operation of the narrow web press.  This position is 3rd shift, 12-hour shifts.

Press Operator Pay :  $26-30/hour + $5,000 sign-on bonus

Press Operator 12-hour Shift:  2nd shift (2pm-10pm), 3rd Shift (6pm-10am) and rotating 12-hour shift (6pm -6am)

• Monday- Wednesday for 13 weeks
• Thursday-Sunday for 13 weeks
• plus 8-hour shift every other week

Press Operator Key Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Consistent work history
• 1 year minimum experience as a Flexographic Press Operator (narrow web preferred) in a high-quality, commercial printing company
• Proficient at Production Setups, Blueprint Reading, Quality inspection
• Leadership in taking initiative to pitch in where help is needed, work on improvements

Press Operator Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Label (flexographic) pressroom equipment, sheeters, stackers, fan folding equipment, infrared heating equipment, turret, IMASS peel grain testers, digital scope, densitometer, gloss meter, UV equipment
• Executes scheduled job according to specifications in order to set-up and run the required equipment
• Completes the make-ready and installs all required auxiliary equipment in order to meet or perform the necessary job specifications
• Selects the inks and mixes inks as specified;  Monitors use of inks and varnishes on the press
