Financial Specialist - Temp position with State of NM

ATA Services Inc. is currently seeking to hire a Financial Specialist to work on a temporary long-term assignment with the State of New Mexico Environment Department.

• Start Date: ASAP
• Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour with weekly pay.
• Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Location: Santa Fe – in-office

Job Duties:

• Prepare grant agreements to conform to established policies, procedures, and state statutes from prescribed templates.
• Submission of grant agreements to communities and follow-up at regular intervals until fully executed.
• Update documents, including signature resolutions, as needed; and ensure agreements are accurately entered in the Loan Grant Tracking System (LGTS)
• Additional duties include processing encumbrance/change orders following the NMED standard operating procedures, and within the confines of the allowed budget; vouchering pay (disbursement) requests in SHARE and the LGTS; and assistance with Budget & Formulation Management System (BFM) reporting.
• This position assists with monitoring grantee Executive Order Compliance including the implementation and adherence to special conditions and fiscal agent requirements.

Requirements:

• SHARE software experience preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• A minimum of four years of qualified work experience
• Experience with Grants and contracts.
