Job Description:

The Manager, HR Enablement provides leadership across horizonal HR functions for BHE Renewables (BHER) and provides strategic HR Business Partner support for two vertical businesses. This highly collaborative and influential position will lead the development and implementation of HR programs, projects, and processes that can scale to support of our growing business.

The Manager, HR Enablement will lead BHER operational functions including: HR Data and Reporting; HR Processes; HR Policy and Compliance; HR Communications; BHER Pre-Employment and Onboarding; HR Budget management, and liaison across other BHE HR functions, as appropriate. As this is a new team, this role will involve creating strategies, aligning tools, and building supporting processes for each functional area.

This leader will provide support across 11 states and will need to have knowledge of state specific laws and processes for all states (including California, Iowa, New York, Texas, and Arizona). As BHER business expands to new geographies, this role will ensure alignment with state laws and processes.

Additionally, the HR Enablement leader will be a strategic HR Business Partner for two vertical business groups and be the primary point of contact for two executive leaders. This role will provide HR consulting across all domains of HR, including but not limited to, organization design and development, executive coaching, talent planning and management, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and team engagement.


Responsibilities:

HR Data and Reporting

  • Develops and leads BHER metrics, strategy, analysis and delivery
  • Creates workforce planning tools and predictive models to inform strategic decision.
  • HR Process Ownership and Documentation: Acts as the process owner for all BHER HR processes, leads documentation and develops standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Acts as the process owner for all BHER HR processes (e.g. onboarding, pre-employment, escalations, contractor acquisition, timekeeping…)
  • Leads documentation and upkeep for all processes and develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed

HR Policy and Compliance

  • Serves as the BHER owner of HR policy and execution
  • Ensures the HR team is kept abreast of employment policies and state policies; mandatory state training, and updates (including California).
  • Leads BHER activities & audits associated with Human Resources

BHER HR Communications

  • Owns BHER HR internal communications strategy and execution
  • Leads communication supporting BHER Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) plan, including Employee Resource Group (ERG) support and Self-ID campaigns

Pre-Employment, Onboarding, and Stay/Exit Survey

  • Designs, executes, and enhances onboarding program ensuring an engaging experience.
  • Manages pre-employment processes including background checks, I-9 verification, testing, monitoring, reporting & audits.

Expense Management and Budget Oversight

HR Business Partner Support

  • Provides strategic HR business partner support for two BHER business verticals
  • Responsibilities include organization design and development, executive coaching, employee relations, workforce planning, talent management, and general human resources support.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, preferably across multiple HR disciplines.
  • 3 years leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, procedures or programs to improve employee experience.
  • Experience working across multiple states and implementing HR solutions with state specific needs
  • Experience as a process owner: including process design, documentation, training and monitoring
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to assess human capital issues to make decisions to implement solutions
  • Strong project management skills with exceptional attention for detail
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a simple clear format
  • Ability to travel on short notice and travel up to 15% of the time
