In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in the design, development, and manufacturing of our cutting-edge vacuum furnaces and processing equipment. Mechanical Designer RequirementsBachelor’s degree in engineering 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar role within the industry. Perform CAD (SolidWorks) to create mechanical drawings for machining, fabrication, and assembly. Develop bill of materials and specify materials for ordering. Design or specify control systems. Possess a solid mechanical background with the ability to perform relatively simple calculations for estimating loading and stresses. Design complex machines, systems, and enclosures from scratch or rough concepts. Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy due to minimal oversight. Understand materials, including metals, plastics, and ceramics. Work closely with manufacturing to develop optimal solutions for each product. Interface directly with customers and support sales as expertise increases. Assist in the first production testing and commissioning of new products. Travel domestically and internationally as required.
