Responsibilities:
As our Permanent Survey CAD Technician, you will have the following responsibilities:
1. Utilize AutoCAD software to prepare clear and complete survey drawings and maps based on field data, sketches, notes, and existing records.
2. Process and analyze GIS data and develop geospatial maps and other spatial or geographic data.
3. Assist in the preparation of survey reports, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and other related tasks.
4. Use ESRI software to manage and organize GIS data.
5. Collaborate with the survey team to understand project requirements and ensure accurate completion of all tasks.
6. Maintain and update all survey CAD standards and the company's CAD manual.
7. Provide technical support to the survey team in the field and office.
8. Ensure all work is completed accurately and within the project timeline.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting role, the candidate should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Survey CAD Technician or similar role in the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and ESRI software.
3. Extensive experience in geospatial data analysis and map creation.
4. Familiarity with surveying principles and practices, including boundary determination, legal descriptions, and construction layout.
5. Strong technical skills, with the ability to understand complex mathematical and engineering concepts.
6. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
