Data Warehouse Developer/Data Engineer- Must be authorized to work in the US Position Summary: The role of the Data Warehouse developer is to be involved in the analysis, design, and development efforts for the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence projects, and to resolve business problems through data. This includes modeling, building, and populating the Data Warehouse, as well as providing reporting capabilities. The developer will support the data warehouse on-premises and on the cloud, as well as legacy data support activities. General Duties and Responsibilities: · Involvement in all phases of Data Warehouse Implementation, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and support, adopting best practices to develop a quality and scalable solution. · Create and maintain logical and physical dimensional data models. · Assess business rules; perform source to target data mappings; design, review, implement, and optimize ETL processes; Automate ETL and batch jobs. · Implement data integration services between source systems and the Data Warehouse · Productionize data solutions and maintain source control. · Implement different levels of data security. · Participate in peer code reviews. · Create and maintain documentation for work products. · Gain knowledge of source systems and their data structures in support of the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of the data solutions. · Provide data analysis and identify data-related issues within the Data Warehouse environment, as well as source systems as needed. · Support & maintain existing, legacy data solutions. · Migrate existing legacy data solutions to the Data Warehouse. · Crafting and executing queries upon request for business users. · Work with minimal supervision to complete tasks assigned. Qualification & Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in computer science / Information technology related field or equivalent with relevant experience. · 5+ years of experience with relational databases, SQL, Stored Procedure, and Data Warehouse systems performing similar duties as above and using sound Data Warehouse development methodology. · Experience with data cleansing, data profiling, data validation, and reporting. · Experience working with SQL Server databases, on-prem and Azure Cloud for building Data Warehouses. · Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud platform and related components, SQL Server on Azure, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse. · Experience with data integration tools and techniques. · Experience with Power BI · Experience with PySpark and Python will eb a plus. · Experience with software development will be a plus. · Good communication and strong analytical & reasoning skills. · Must have technical skills/knowledge of Microsoft Office products. · Travel: up to 5% domestically.
