Position: Senior BuyerOverview: The Senior Buyer position is critical for the seamless operation of our client's facilities, focusing on managing supply and equipment procurement essential for patient care, facility upkeep, and administrative functions. This role demands a skilled individual who can improve procurement processes, solve order issues, and ensure the constant availability of necessary goods and services. Key Responsibilities: Uphold and demonstrate leadership qualities in line with our client's core competencies: self-leadership, team leadership, and organizational leadership. Generate and communicate daily productivity reports to management, highlighting end-of-day activities. Ensure timely processing of purchase requisitions within the designated region, promptly addressing any problems to confirm all orders with vendors. Check daily reports to confirm the processing status of orders, completing all tasks efficiently. Follow our client's established policies and procedures for handling special types of purchase orders, ensuring standardization. Proactively address any issues related to requisition creation or failures in order transmission. Quickly manage urgent (STAT) requests to guarantee next-day delivery, monitor order status, and inform relevant parties of any anticipated delays beforehand. Deal with extended delivery delays by seeking alternative sources, liaising with vendors for replacements, and getting substitutions approved. Elevate any significant issues to the clinical team if alternative solutions are impractical. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in procurement or a similar role within a healthcare or related environment. Excellent organizational and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to independently work and collaborate with a team. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with procurement software and systems.
