***POSITION WILL BE HYBRID IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS*** Job Summary The Lead Technologist is part of a board to oversee the identification, education, and implementation of appropriate technologies to improve processes and products. Responsible for establishing, communicating, and maintaining a corporate technology architecture and implementation strategy. This will include technology stacks from Hardware, Software, Data Sciences and Cyber Security, both product and process, that will be used to advance customer products and services. Leads the Emerging Technology Teams by providing guidance, mentoring and sponsorship for identified technology areas. Responsibilities Working with the Technology board, develops, maintains, and evangelizes the approved technology plan Establishes technology goals to align with corporate goals and flows those goals down to Program / Project Managers and technology team. Identifies tactical and strategic business opportunities through internal and external technology partnerships. Responsible for establishing certification recommendations and communicating them with Program / Project Managers. Works with the Focus Area leads and Program/Project Managers to define, implement, and drive mission-critical strategic and operational technology initiatives. Provides thought leadership to industry technology developments across all focus areas. Assists Focus Area leads and Program/Project Managers with employment, training, mentoring, motivation, and performance evaluation of personnel related to technology areas. Works with the Focus Area leads and Program/Project Managers to resolve programmatic technology problems, identifies trends, determines system improvements and change. Clearly documents and presents research reports including creation of diagrams and procedure documentation. Possess a broad knowledge of most technical and business resources and use them to effectively coordinate team members and external resources. Identifies, screens, and evaluates new solution opportunities to address unmet customer needs. Utilizes the appropriate technologies and ensure that customers have the solutions they need, when they need them, and in the media best suited to their requirements. Continually enhances job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, sharing professional publications, maintaining professional networks and professional organizations. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a Technical Discipline Demonstrated 7+ years’ of technical and supervisory experience in the management of technical projects within the Department of Defense or Federal contracting environment Demonstratedexperience managing, developing, evaluating, and supporting teams of 15+ technical and non-technical personnel Demonstrate a working knowledge of Department of Defense and/or federal procurement practices Demonstrate strong analytical skills, including an understanding of business economics and financial resources Demonstrated experience in preparing reports and briefings Demonstrated analytical and time-management skills Demonstrated ability to work as an active member of a team Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with all levels of an organization and/or potential customers Demonstrated ability to professionally and confidently communicate with Executives, customer / partner / company Demonstrated strong attention to detail and organizational skills Must be a US citizen Must possess an active DoD Secret/Civilian Public Trust security clearance Preferred Qualifications Prior experience managing a technical organization of 50+ personnel Master’s Degree in a technical discipline Demonstrated 3+ years’ business development experience to include opportunity identification, capture, teaming, proposal development, and proposal review PMP certification Company Summary Join the VSolvit Team!
