We are looking for technicians that are experienced in fundamentals of setting up injection molding machines, knowledge with performing repairs on machines, and experience working with operating machines such as cranes! Responsibilities:
Following of directions passed down from supervisor/management
Use of hand tools and power tools to perform job function
Safely operating the crane system
Hanging molds in a machine without causing damage to mold, machine, or environment
Use of clamps and torque specifications
Hooking up water lines, electrical cables, air hoses, ejector bars
Testing mold operation to ensure mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and water systems work
Installing robot end-of-arm tooling (EOAT)
Installing/operating auxiliary equipment (hot stamp machines, label applicators, dryer, color cart, etc.)
Minor repairs (i.e., replace water fittings, repair electrical cables, etc.)
Performing a line clearance on the material system
Operating the press controller
Operating a forklift
Standing / working at heights more than 2 feet off the ground
Requirements:
Work safe knowledge of the equipment (i.e., crane movements, machine safeties, electricity, etc.)
Ability to work as part of a team and/ or independently on a project without constant supervision
Understanding of lifting limitations on the crane, lift straps, chains, and lift bolts
Reading and use of install documentation (i.e., water diagram, process data sheet, etc.)
Where to find the necessary documentation
Loading programs on the injection molding machine
Install requirements for special tooling (i.e., leveling a stack mold, center knockout bars, etc.)
