Position Purpose: A person in this job position normally is assigned and expected to perform the work of a Meter Technician I with the additional responsibility of overseeing jobs assigned by the Electric Metering Supervisor, and Company management. Perform job functions within assigned department, including, but not limited to, the following areas: Ÿ Metering systems construction, operation, and maintenance. Ÿ Maintenance of records and reports relating to assigned functions. Principal Accountabilities: 60% Perform duties described for the Meter Technician I. 30% Oversee distribute daily work & control metering related projects by directing personnel assigned to the meter department. Maintenance of job and inventory records of metering personnel and equipment that is under the control of the Lead Meter Technician. 10% Teaching safety methods and procedures in accordance with company policies and procedures. Qualifications: • Associates Degree in Electronics or company acknowledged equivalent. • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. • Possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license based on the requirements of the State of New Hampshire and/or State where the employee resides. • Be available to respond to overtime work and emergency calls as requested. • Working knowledge of the NHPUC rules and regulations for electric service. • Working knowledge of the Company’s Tariff for electric service. • Working knowledge of Company metering standards. • Working knowledge of Company Safety Rules and Company Policies and procedures.
