Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services is searching for an experienced Home Healthcare Intake Specialist


This is a consistent 40-hour full time position. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the intake process for home healthcare services. You will be the main point of contact for clients, caregivers and their families, ensuring that they receive the best possible support and care. You will be responsible for assessing client needs and subsequently coordinating services, as well working closely with providers and local agencies to ensure that clients receive the best outcomes possible. Your excellent communication and organizational skills are essential to this position. Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement patient intake procedures

• Collect patient information and verify accuracy

• Ensure that all paperwork is accurately completed and filed

• Review patient information and update when necessary

• Respond promptly to patient or caregiver inquiries

• Contact insurance companies to verify coverage and obtain authorization

• Monitor patient progress and follow up with healthcare providers

• Maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations

• Assist with appeals and prior authorization processes

• Assist with the coordination of homecare services

• Identify and resolve any billing issues

• Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to healthcare providers

**Candidate MUST live in the state of Massachusetts or Rhode Island and be able to commute to the Mansfield office**


• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment

• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards

• Customer service and organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in computer programs, such as Microsoft Office
