Accounts Payable Specialist

CV Resources has partnered with a fast-growing construction company on the search for skilled Accounts Payable Specialist. *This position is full-time on-site*.

Position Overview: The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a vital role in the finance department, performing a range of accounting and bookkeeping tasks. Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data entry and processing of accounts payable transactions on a weekly and/or monthly basis.
• Extensive filing of accounts payable documents, both in paper and electronic formats.
• Preparation and auditing of materials requiring analysis of supporting documents.
• Assistance in preparing Year End 1099 forms for review by the Controller/Accounting Manager.
• Generation of monthly and quarterly reports for government agencies.
• Support for compliance audits, including workers compensation and 401(k) audits.
• Assistance with other administrative accounting functions such as mail sorting, filing, and bill payments.
• Participation in ad-hoc projects as required by the leadership team.
• Collaboration with the Accounting Manager and adjustment of errors and discrepancies as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting functions.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and QuickBooks. NAV is a plus.
• Knowledge of standard accounting practices and state/local ordinances.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to change.
