Summary:
- Provide Machine Vision expertise and support to manufacturing processes.
- Support the implementation of Machine Vision related projects (mainly Cognex Insight Spreadsheet environment).
- Code Review/debug of a wide spectrum of bespoke vision jobs/algorithms.
- Investigate issues and develop solutions for Machine Vision Applications.
- Characterization, optimization, emulation, and data analysis on proposed Vision jobs.
- Collaboration with other internal functions (eg QA/Operations/Engineering).
- Standardization of best machine vision practices across site.
- Lead vision related obsolescence upgrade projects
- Vision Training for engineering personnel
Experience/Training Required
- Candidates must have minimum 5 years machine vision relevant work experience, preferably in a regulated high volume automated manufacturing environment.
- Candidates must have demonstrated expertise with Cognex Insight hardware/software platform (spreadsheet environment)
- Candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of Optics, Lighting Techniques, Troubleshooting/Diagnostics, with demonstrable competency in vision algorithm development and interfaces with PLC/HMI systems.
- Candidates must have extensive knowledge of vision tools such as histograms, edge tools, blob tools, OCR, logic, image processing techniques, job profiling etc
- Candidates must have completed Cognex advanced spreadsheet training.
- Experience with Cognex Vision Pro, Designer and Keyence vision systems
- Candidates should have a good knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.
- Candidates should have experience of GDP/GMP/GAMP.
Qualifications/Education
- Degree in Engineering or Science equivalent
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent desirable.
