Responsibilities

  • You will ensure all laundry, including bedding and towels, is washed, dried, and folded to the highest standards of cleanliness.
  • We expect you to operate laundry machinery such as washers and dryers, ensuring they are used correctly and maintained in good condition.
  • You shall manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linen stock, replenishing items as needed and alerting management when supplies run low.
  • You will promptly address any guest requests or concerns regarding laundry service in a professional and courteous manner.
  • We expect you to adhere to health and safety protocols while handling chemicals and laundry equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • You shall inspect all laundry for stains or damage before washing, treating areas as necessary to ensure optimal results.
  • You will collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure a seamless supply of linens and uniforms throughout the hotel.
  • We expect you to maintain a clean and organized work area, following guidelines for hygiene and efficiency at all times.

Requirements

  • You must efficiently sort, wash, and fold laundry, including but not limited to sheets, towels, blankets, and uniforms, ensuring all items are cleaned and prepared to a high standard.
  • You should possess the ability to operate commercial laundry equipment following the manufacturer's guidelines and our property's safety protocols.
  • We expect you to maintain a clean and organized work environment, which includes cleaning lint traps, machines, and surfaces to ensure a safe working condition.
  • You will need to manage inventory levels of laundry detergents and supplies, alerting management when orders are needed to avoid any disruptions in daily operations.
  • It is essential that you can stand for extended periods and handle heavy lifting up to 50 pounds as this is a physical aspect of the job requirement.
  • You should demonstrate effective time-management skills to meet the quick turnaround of laundry services expected by our guests and staff.
  • We require you to adhere strictly to health and hygiene standards to prevent cross-contamination among different types of laundry.
  • You must have the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision, taking initiative to solve problems and make decisions that align with our hotel's standards and guest satisfaction goals.
