About the Role:

The Summer Camp Lead Teacher at Park Maitland is a pivotal position ideal for individuals passionate about child development and seeking to provide a transformative educational experience. This role involves leading and coordinating a variety of camp activities such as creative arts, science projects, outdoor sports, and technology exploration, ensuring a memorable and enriching summer for all participants.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a group of approximately 15 children in a diverse range of camp activities.
  • Create a positive, energetic, and structured learning environment.
  • Act as a role model for campers, demonstrating enthusiasm and a proactive approach to all activities.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a safe, attractive, and clean environment for camp activities.
  • Promote positive interactions and relationships among campers and staff.

What We Are Looking For:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
  • Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Advanced Lifesaving, or ability to obtain these certifications before the commencement of the camp.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience in leadership roles within educational or camp settings.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to providing an engaging and positive summer camp experience.
