\nPosition Overview:
\nAs a CNC Programmer at Trelleborg, you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process, utilizing your expertise in 5-axis CNC programming, CNC operation, training, and finished part inspection. Trelleborg is specifically looking for programmers, experienced in 5-axis CNC machining. Experience with composites a plus. \nKey Responsibilities:

- Develop efficient CNC programs for 5-axis machining operations, ensuring optimal toolpaths and cycle times. \n
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. \n
- Conduct thorough inspection of finished parts to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. \n
- Provide training and guidance to machine operators and junior programmers to enhance skills and knowledge within the team. \n
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize manufacturing processes. \n
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols. \n
- Inspect machined parts through combination of machine probe and manual measurement for Quality Assurance. \n
- Complete routine maintenance of their machinery. \n
- Take ownership of the CNC work center, leading by example to ensure efficient operation and adherence to quality standards. \n
- Mentor and train new operators, imparting knowledge, and skills to ensure a capable and cohesive team. \n
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for the work center to optimize productivity and ensure consistency in output. \n
- Collaborate with management to identify training needs and opportunities for continuous improvement within the team. \n
- Serve as a point of contact for technical support and troubleshooting, resolving issues effectively to minimize downtime and maintain workflow. \n
Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC machining programmer. \n
- Proficiency in 5-axis CNC programming and operation is required. \n
- Experience with CMM inspection is required. \n
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials. \n
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks) for programming and simulation. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform thorough part inspections. \n
- Effective communication skills with the ability to train and mentor others. \n
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. \n
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite. \n
- Proficient with GD&T ASME Y14.5 (1994, 2009, and 2018) requirements. \n
- Some advanced education is preferred. (Ex: Associates/bachelor's degree in a relevant manufacturing discipline) \n
