Come join a team that has been defining the next generation in rapid, secure, and reliable software delivery. The Harness Platform team is responsible for building and managing the core components that power all of our modules, such as CI/CD, STO, etc. These core services ensure secure and scalable operation for all our modules, including Account Management, Authentication, Authorization, Audit, Notifications, and Secret Management. Additionally, we build the Harness delegates/agents and deploy them onto customer infrastructure. The platform team is also responsible for setting up our internal deployment infrastructure, such as multi-cluster setup and common libraries for Redis/Mongo, Kafka. We are currently building the next generation of Delegates, Authentication, and Access Control services. For this, we are looking for a passionate engineer to help build and scale these components.You will be responsible for architecting the next generation of these services, mentoring junior engineers, and developing high-quality software that forms the core part of the Harness platform.Design, develop, and maintain critical software in a fast-paced quality conscious environmentAuthor software functional specifications and design documentsQuickly understand complex systems/code and own key pieces of the systemDesign and implementation of scalable algorithmsDiagnose and troubleshoot complex problems in a distributed computing environmentPerform peer reviews of specifications, designs, and codeWork alongside Site Reliability Engineers and cross functional teams to diagnose/troubleshoot any production performance related issuesHarness’ environment is Java / Golang and related modern technologiesAbout youExtensive experience developing highly scalable, distributed applications, products and services in Golang or Java (~4+ years) A desire to build products that solve complex technical problems for end usersDeep understanding of how distributed resilient software is built and deployedSolid foundation in data structures, algorithms and software design with strong analytical and debugging skillsComfort in working in short, agile, iterative development cyclesStrong desire to work in an unstructured, fast moving startup environmentComputer Science degree or equivalent experience requiredAdvanced degree is a plusWork LocationMountain View, California.
