Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Resident Pharmacist I to join our team. As our resident pharmacist you operate in a more clearly defined area of practice and/or provides a specialized scope of pharmacy services as specified by the Residency Program Director, Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator and Director of Pharmacy

What you will do in this role:

  • You will serve as a resource person for Medical, Nursing and Pharmacy Staff.
  • You will participate in the development of new services, systems and skills within the Pharmacy Services Department.
  • You will supervise pharmacy technicians and interns.
  • You will perform other duties as assigned by the Residency Program Director, Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator and Director of Pharmacy.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate of accredited School or College of Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
  • Active Florida Pharmacist License must be obtained within 3 months of starting the residency.
  • Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and/or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation.
