ChristianaCare Private Duty serves patients throughout the state of Delaware, and has needs on specific cases for which we are recruiting, including a 10p-6a shift and a 9p-5a shift, as well as some day shift hours.  These patients require gastric tube feedings for nutrition and possess other medical conditions that require constant monitoring.  If serving these patients would be meaningful to you and your clinical development, please apply.  Please see our video, by clicking this link, for a glimpse of what it means to work at the VNA: . 

This is a benefits eligible position with a $2,500.00 sign on bonus for an 18-month commitment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide overnight care while parents and caregivers sleep, ensuring the patient’s safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and other prescribed treatments as ordered.
• Coordinate care with the family, the patient’s physician and other healthcare professionals.
• Creates positive relationships by serving in a compassionate, responsive and courteous manner.
• Works Overnight and Weekends.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN within 3 years of hire (or Master’s degree in nursing)
• 1 year  or more professional registered nursing experience
• Current license to practice as an RN in the State of Delaware
• IV proficient (new hires will receive training and be IV proficient within 3 months of hire)
• Education # 2 IV statewide requirement 2406, 2407, 2408, 2409
• Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance.
• Tracheostomy and ventilator experience a plus!
