What a Machine Operator will do:
- Maintain and adjust machines that stock, fill, wrap, seal, and label bags with finished product
- Ensure that product and bagging requirements are met safely, efficiently, and with minimal waste
- Inspect bagging line processes and materials and respond promptly to any machine malfunctions
- Monitor and ensure metal detectors are tested and fully functional
- Control packaging weights for main line or specialty products
- Ensure there is no injury to self or others by following safe work practices (including Standard Operating Procedures) and policies
- Ensure self-compliance with company policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement
What you need to be a Machine Operator:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3+ years of related experience and/or training
- Must be able to enter data into a computer #WorkNow
