School LPN Near Palmyra, Illinois

Position: Full-time 1:1 Nurse with student
Pay range: $33-$38 per hour

Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team for full-time hours. The selected candidate will provide one-on-one care to a female high school student who is wheelchair bound and nonverbal. The student is 100% adult dependent and requires specialized care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide prehensive nursing care to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of the student.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including but not limited to feeding, bathing, and toileting.
• Monitor and document the student's health status and response to interventions.
• Utilize hoyer lifts and other specialized equipment as needed for safe transfer and mobility.

Qualifications:

• Valid LPN license in the state of IL
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a school or healthcare setting.
• Ability to effectively municate and collaborate with the student, family, and multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in using hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
