Description:

Position Summary:
Maintain security to the building, by monitoring access to the doors for associates and visitors (contractors, auditors, etc.). This role is the first point of contact for all individuals visiting our plant and is the welcoming face of BD to greet and assist the visitors in helping them find their host and/or any other assistance that may be required. Additionally, this role includes, answering switchboard calls. As time allows, this role will support other functions with administrative tasks. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English and Spanish. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Giving access to associates and visitors to our plant, followed by welcoming and assisting them with their request, giving badges, signing them in and contacting their host (if needed).
Answering incoming calls and connecting them with appropriate individual.
Maintaining strict confidentiality due to the nature of some information being processed.
Assisting with communication process for associate awareness, mailings, postings, etc.
Providing administrative, data entry and project support for all functional areas as requested.
Supporting the recruitment and new hire processes, including on-roll paperwork, training materials, interview coordination, badges, etc.
Process I-9 documentation for associates in accordance with federal law.
Processing door security and badge requests.
Assisting in planning and supporting activities for associates.
Supporting safety, health and wellness, and other programs as requested.
Proficiency with multi-tasking and properly prioritizing duties.
Work with Vendors and Contractors in the facility regarding badges, plant access, and general file upkeep.
Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

Education:
High School Diploma/GED required
Experience:
2+ years administrative experience in a busy office environment that utilizes the latest technologies with demonstrated prioritization practices required
Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledgeable operating office equipment (Copiers, Scanners, Computers) - Proficient
Computer skills including the Microsoft office suite (excel, word, PowerPoint, publisher) – Proficient
