Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
Join our school-based team if you are a Special Education Teacher wanting a change of scenery! We have a full-time, upcoming-schoolyear position that works with a K-12th grade caseload. Interviews are being conducted right now, so please send me your current resume if you wish to be considered for this position!

Job Details:
  • Onsite near the Westernport, Maryland area
  • Start in August
  • # students/sites and caseload information will be discussed more in depth with special services' director during interview

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
  • Valid state(MD)teaching certification/license in Special Education.
  • Prior experience working with students with special needs in inner city is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
