Title: Registered Behavior Technician

Description:

Our school district in Marysville, MIis seeking a passionate Registered behavior technician. You would be assistingteachers in planning and preparation for daily activities.Aiding in instructional efforts of the teacher. Assistthe teacher in preparing lesson outlines, plans, and curricula in assigned areas.

Position Details:

• Providing general RBT support for multiple students throughout the day, across 1 site only.
• RBT will work either in small groups or 1:1, supporting their IEP goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to students in the classroom, under the direction of the classroom teacher or special education staff
• Assist students with academic tasks, including reading, math, and other subject areas
• Work one-on-one with students who have special needs or require additional support
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social and emotional growth of all students
• Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies
• Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodation plans
• Support students during meals, recess, and other school activities
• Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment

Qualifications:

• Registered Behavior Technician Certification required.
• Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the students and classroom.
