Payroll Specialist... Paying Up To $35.00 - Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and process semi-monthly payroll for 115 combined hourly and salaried employees across multiple branches
• Partner with time and attendance assistant to ensure accurate reporting of timecards and timely submission of payroll
• Assist with monthly reconciliation of payroll to the general ledger
• Maintain files of payroll reports, statistical summaries, quarterly and annual tax filing reports, and W2 forms along with payroll processing backup for future audits or requests from accountants
• Ensure the accuracy of payroll records by maintaining a database with updates in status changes, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, time off accruals, etc.
• Reconcile health insurance deductions to monthly statements
• Run monthly and quarterly payroll reports for management
• Balance sheet reconciliations and schedules
• Bank reconciliations
• Assist Controller with month-end close
• Process accurate and timely year-end reporting as needed

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience processing payroll for 100+ ee's (Paylocity experience is a MUST)
• General accounting experience, including GL reconciliation
• Strong Excel skills, preferably V Lookup and Pivot tables experience

Knowledge Skill and Ability

• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
• Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material

Pay $25.00-35.00
