Responsibilities

Our Experience Design area within Enterprise Technology - Digital Experience Department is seeking Experience Leads. This area is comprised of multiple teams that are passionate about enhancing experiences for State Farm associates, agents, and customers. Our work matters - we deliver user centered design solutions expressed through our State Farm brand that directly align with and positively impact our Enterprise goals.

To effectively deliver, we partner with a broad range of business partners, including developers, product owners, Marketing, and leadership, to name a few. We help our partners achieve their goals by proactively bringing customer centric design solutions to the table.



Qualifications

State Farm's Digital Experience team is seeking two Experience Leads to join our award winning mobile app team and Small Business team. As a seasoned UX champion and visual designer at State Farm, you will lead high-priority Enterprise-wide strategic efforts. With exceptional communication and strong people leadership skills, you will drive user-centered mobile app and .com experiences and innovative solution delivery for complex problems. As a champion for human-centered design, you will coach and develop others in utilizing the native app design process and the design system. In this role you will:

  • Support product teams to achieve clear problem statements.
  • Exercise a range of methodologies including design research, service blueprinting, collaborative design working sessions, and ideation to strategically define ideal experiences.
  • Facilitate design-led workshops and reviews to engage and build alignment across business partners and product teams.
  • Demonstrate an advanced ability to generate clear and pragmatic directions to the most complex business problems.
  • Leverage your strategic thinking skills to seamlessly handle ambiguity with a calm, clear demeanor and successfully lead.
  • Autonomously exercise strong critical thinking and sound judgment while independently making decisions within projects and providing consultation and oversight to those executing other projects

Competitive candidates must have the following skills/experience:

  • 5+ years of applicable work experience in a UX or digital product design team
  • Experience leading large enterprise-wide customer experience journeys in an agile environment.
  • Experience working on mobile app teams, designing customer experience
  • Experience mentoring junior designers.
  • Experience working with Figma
  • Experience working with Gitlab
  • Experience working with Animations
