Integrated Support Services is offering an opportunity for a qualified individual at the GS-03 level to serve on a 120-day Temporary appointment. This individual will perform the role of Clerk GS-322-3.

Integrated Support Services (ISS) is part of The Library of Congress enabling infrastructure. ISS provides support to the Library community in the areas of Facility Services, Operations, Logistics Services, Health and Safety Services and Customer Experience.

Clerks within the Logistics Services division of ISS provide support in the following manner:

  • Clerical and administrative support
  • Correspondence and document creation
  • Directing telephone calls and visitors
  • Maintaining office records
  • Record maintenance

The Clerk's primary responsibilities include:

  • Creating, copying, editing, and printing a variety of standardized documents
  • Preparing correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other administrative forms
  • Receiving calls and visitors and taking messages or routing as appropriate
  • Establishing, updating, and maintaining office records

  1. Knowledge of general office work
  2. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and required formats
  3. Knowledge of Library policies, procedures, and regulations, specifically those pertaining to official communications
  4. Ability to operate word processing software and electronic mail

This temporary opportunity is for 120-days and is open to all. The work schedule is flextime, Monday thru Friday, 40 hours per week, situational telework may be available.
