What’s a typical day as a CNC Technician? You’ll be:
• Operating automated machines using existing programs.
• Testing programs and ensuring the machine is set up in accordance with drawings.
• Removing and/or replacing cutting tools and offsets as required.
• Manipulating programs to fit inserts into the material, ensuring fit and conformity.
• Inspecting cut material/part prior to CNC operation to ensure conformity and compliance with blueprints, models, and/or engineering documents.
• Identifying material and appropriate cutting tools. Setting up material and inspecting for serviceability.
• Monitoring material supply.
• Validating preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machines.
• Completing paperwork and other documents as required.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Complying with 5S and Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have 2 years of related experience or education, including at least 1 year of experience with similar automated equipment.
• Have a strong knowledge of shop theory and procedures.
• Are proficient in shop mathematics and layout techniques.
• Can read and interpret drawings, blueprints, models, and engineering documents.
• Are detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Have a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Can work effectively both independently and in a team.
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
