BASIC FUNCTION
The Shipping/Receiving clerk participates in all aspects of the warehouse. Functions include but are not limited to; moving inventory, pulling product, carrying out merchandise for customers and cleaning up. Shipping/Receiving also receives, unloads and verifies merchandise deliveries.

DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES FOR SHIPPING/RECEIVING CLERKS I, II, III.
- Verifies incoming shipments against the Seal Co PO for the appropriate items, quantity, documentation.
- Verifies incoming shipments are free of damage and signs for shipments. Reports all damage to Warehouse Manager before signing.
- Record inbound shipment data, such as weight, box size, and scan packing list and attach it to the PO Receipt per the Acumatica work instructions.
- Inspects incoming product to ANSI Z1.4 AQL level of 1.5.
- Stocks incoming inventory in its location designated in Acumatica.
- Prepares documentation for shipment of materials, parts, finished goods and related items.
- Checks Pick List against electronically attached customer PO for accuracy.
- Record outbound shipment data, such as Country of Origin, Batch Number, Cure Date, Expiration Date and Number of Bags on the Pick List.
- Follows Customer, Industry or Seal Company Packaging Requirements, including labeling, color coding and packages shipments sufficiently to avoid shipping damage.
- Signs out Will Call customers and takes signed Pick List to Accounting.
- Identifies and reports inventory discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
- Pack, label, and forward prepared shipments to Quality for final inspection and preparation for shipment.
- Reports any safety concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
- Follows all ISO 9001 and AS9100 procedures.
- Maintains a clean work area and ensures strict adherence to the 5S Standards.
- Operate machines including scales, scanners, pallet jacks, hand trucks and forklift to maneuver products.
- Prepare and confirm Pick Lists per the Acumatica Shipping Clerk Work Instructions.
- Prepare documents, such as PO Receipts, Pick Lists, bills of lading, and shipment confirmations.
- Determine LTL shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for outbound shipping and delivery of materials when necessary.
- Store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Order replacement shipping supplies through the maintenance buyer.
- Participates in Annual Inventory or Inventory Cycle Counts as directed by Warehouse Manager.
- Understands and is responsible for shelf-life requirements and labels product appropriately.
- Performs all Shipping and Receiving functions.
- Operate within the principles of Character Core.
- Any additional duty assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

- Environmental conditions of the area in which the subject shall perform his/her duties are:
- “Normal” warehouse conditions with a Moderate Noise level.
- Possible exposure to non-climate controlled plant.
- This position is considered a “Safety Critical” position and all Safety Guidelines must be adhered to.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Required – High School diploma/GED.
- Preferred – High School diploma/GED with one years related experience.
