Job Description

The responsibilities of a Service Advisor include greeting customers and listening to their needs. The role also involves scheduling appointments, setting up the rental vehicles and verifying insurance before maintenance is scheduled as needed. You will be the link between the customer and the technician working on repairing their vehicle.

Service Advisor Responsibilities: 

  • Greet and check-in service customers promptly in a professional and courteous manner
  • Help expedite the car rental process if needed so customers can get to their destination quickly and easily
  • Inspect vehicles and refer to service history, age, and mileage in order to accurately identify the customer’s service needs.
  • Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of the cost of labor and parts
  • Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and communicate updates with customers frequently
  • Explain all completed work and charges to customers

 

Service Advisor Qualifications:

  • Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
  • Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant preferred
  • Very energetic and positive personality 
  • A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization
  • Personal and professional integrity
  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies and processes
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Safe driving record & valid in-state driver’s license
