Epic Aircraft, based in beautiful Bend, Oregon, is the leading designer and manufacturer of high performance, all composite, six-seat single-engine turboprop aircraft. We're seeking talented and creative individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the composite aerospace technology industry.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As part of the Engineering Department theMaterials & Processes Engineering Internwill participate as a valuable member of Epic Aircraft's Engineering team. This is a full-time, paid summer internship available to students currently enrolled in an applicable Engineering or Aerospace program. The intern will gain real world experience doing a variety of tasks related toEpic E1000GXAircraft.
- Participate as a multidisciplinary Engineering team member
- Assist Engineers and other team members with the design, development, and testing of aircraft parts, materials, and components
- Assist with writing reports documenting activities and analyses
- Assist in the test analysis and other test-related tasks including test set-up and coordination
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Junior or Senior Level College Student working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in anEngineering Specialty of Aerospace, Materials, Material Science or closely related discipline
- Aviation/composite material experience desired
- Laboratory testing experience desired
- Ability to follow prescribed processes, specifications, and guidelines
- Work well independently and in a team witha positive attitude & professional presence
- Knowledge of computer-aided design and basic engineering analysis tools.
- Strong mechanical design aptitude and capability
- Fundamental understanding of basic engineering principles including fluid mechanics, material strengthand stress analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Must be reliable and dependable with an excellent attendance and punctuality record
- Must be Authorized to work in the U.S. for Any Employer without Sponsorship now or in the future
