Maintenance Painter

We are a non-profit long term care facility that offers independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care. SUMMARY

Responsible for painting common areas, Health Care rooms and residential apartments and cottages. This work would include planned work orders, emergency work orders and Marketing unfits, working with the Facilities Techs with the coordination of scheduling work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

• Painter should make all necessary repairs to areas to be painted. Patch and prime areas needing repair.
• Be sure all tools are securely locked away before leaving work area.
• Notify Facilities Director of anything needing repaired or replaced outside of Painter's responsibility.
• Work cooperatively with all facility department supervisors and Administration.
• Independently problem solve regarding the work of the department.
• Interact effectively with residents and observe Resident Rights, policies and procedures.
• Observe all facility infection control procedures.
• Assist in the facility's compliance with OSHA standards.
• Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
• Perform all duties in conformance with the Employee Handbook.
• Be an advocate for Sharon Towers in the community, maintaining the facility's positive image at all times. Observe appropriate dress.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities Services.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Construction and maintenance experience. Ability to deal effectively with client population. Employees are not to accept gifts of value from vendors.

Specific vision abilities required on this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of experience
